The pace at which it is going, it is commendable…but mere launch of schemes is not sufficient. India has a long track record of starting things with ok intentions (perhaps, 60 years of inaction has conditioned me to even say it as good intention..the mere saying of the word good is not even possible in Indian ethos) and not following up. you can see it from skyscrapers to sidewalks. There is apathy in every walk of life, there is corruption in every common govt employee and the culture is one of chalta hai. What is needed is carrying this to the finish and a culture change. But, I agree, you have to start somewhere and that is what Modi is doing. Commendable. I am worried about his health though and it can remain as 1 man show. others have to do the heavy lifting and that does not seem to be happening
