IBHFL has a total near term deposits/investment of more than Rs. 60,000 crores which is on any matrix is a huge amount to park at sub-optimal returns, especially when you have a coming maturity liability of only Rs. 5000 crores till Sept 2019.
If this is so, what is the total balance sheet size of IBHFL and what percentage of their assets, they are putting into short-term/at call investment avenues and whether it is a prudent policy or not, or rather too much risk averse.
