IPO is coming at the top of the cycle….compare valuations of brokerage houses in 2012/2013 Versus where they are now
Mostly the story is like this only. They come out with IPOs when the market and/or business cycle is at its peak leading to extreme, exuberant and crazy valuations. It is better to buy shares/IPOs when the market is despondent and/or low business cycle. But then, you require high degree of conviction to buy / apply during down turn or worse, during the worst of the down turn. Because after the worst of the down turn only, you see a ‘J’ type recovery. Sharp and quick.
