Interesting chart: I had not seen this before. Thanks. If this chart is correct, then even in 2007/08 the levels of confidence in India were at #2 or #3 rank. I found it also interesting that the level of confidence in the Indian govt. in 2014/15 slightly dipped from the levels of 2007/08. Maybe the difference is too small to mean anything but then 2007-08 was pre-Aadhaar. Regardless, the fact that it is at similar levels under two very different governments is worth thinking about. Of course, the biggest challenge in assessing confidence is that one is rarely sure if high levels of confidence represent conviction or over-confidence or naivety.
